We have a very traditional worship service here at Pioneer. Leadership of the service is shared by our pastor and members of the congregation. The service includes singing hymns, reading God’s word, a junior sermon for the children, and a sermon by Pastor Rick. On most Sundays, the choir sings an inspiring anthem. Communion is served once a month. Our worship services are designed to praise God while “recharging” the spiritual batteries of those in attendance. The sermons provide practical information to be used and shared in everyday life.
Youth Sunday School
After the junior sermon, the younger children exit to their Sunday school class. The class is designed to teach the children about God and Jesus using hands on lessons with lots of participation.
Teen Sunday School
After the regular sermon, the teenagers head to their Sunday school class. The teens “grapple” with questions that are relevant to their lives and discuss how God and Jesus can help them in everyday situations. The goal is to provide a solid foundation for the rest of their lives.
After the worship service, everyone is invited to stay and enjoy some snacks while visiting with each other. This is a time when we share stories about the week’s activities and get to know visitors and new members.
Adult Sunday School
After Fellowship Time, the adult Sunday school class meets. This is a very informal class based on sharing our faith stories while studying God’s word. We all come away knowing each other better and ready to face the week with God’s word at our side.
